INQUA’s activities are mainly carried out through Commissions, Committees and Working Groups.

The following five INQUA Commissions have been established:

– CMP, Coastal and Marine Processes
– HABCOM, Humans and Biosphere
– PALCOM, Paleoclimates
– SACCOM, Stratigraphy and Chronology
– TERPRO, Terrestrial Processes, Deposits and History

INQUA Working Groups are long-terms associations addressing specific broad-scale scientific issues
